FIRST – you need to spend time on determining your goals. NOT wishy-washy stuff such as “I want to be rich“. That’s non-productive and way outside the “SETTING GOALS 101” manual.
What I mean is that you need to set very specific goals, such as “During the next 6 months I am going to reduce my business costs by 20%“.
Why would you do this? In this instance, it is setting a clearly defined goal, with an anticipated outcome, that is, improvement in your cashflow!
THE GOLDEN RULE?
WRITE DOWN YOUR GOALS – for later reference.
NEXT – WORK OUT YOUR STRATEGIES.
In doing this, consider the strengths and potential weaknesses. BE OBJECTIVE!
Once you believe that you chosen the right path to travel on your favoured business outcomes –
PUT YOUR STRATEGIES TO WORK.
SO, now that everything is in place, what comes next?
MONITOR THE RESULTS.
Look at them very carefully – at what they are and aren’t telling you.
ARE YOUR STRATEGIES WORKING?
Either way, seeing the results and analysing them, will allow you to modify your, (hopefully) flexible strategies for maximum benefit.
