In today’s modern era of communications wherein much of the focus is on social media, it’s not just “businesses” that stand to benefit from properly planned and managed social media strategies. The same principles apply to community service and social/sporting clubs.
Only now are some organisations coming to terms with the need for pro-active social media commentary and advertising.
Let’s face it – who is going to support your Club if they don’t know what you do, where you are, why you’re there or what benefits people can receive in becoming valued members?
I had the fortune to be recently invited as a guest speaker to one of Adelaide’s more progressive community service clubs. My topic was “How Your Community Service Club Can Best Use Social Media”.

As I had expected, the occasion proved to very educational for many of the older members and I believe, motivational for the younger generation members attending. The feedback afterwards was great – from both quarters.
If you likewise feel that your Club would also benefit from having me as a speaker (no fee involved!), I shall be more than happy to hear from you.
